Science literature is a work in progress, not a bible, and it is silly to expect The Book of Geomicrobiology & Geochemistry. It was free when I downloaded it. I recently met a friend who is vegan. At some point if they bulk it up and have some real muscle then I'd consider purchase.. This is a real professional. This book has a bonus. Beyond that, however, the book serves as an excellent guide to the functioning of forest ecology, which is a vastly more complex (and ultimately more satisfying) goal than simple identification. These ideas urge me to make bad decisions, sit in negative thoughts, and just suffer when there is no need. The political morass, the issues with climate and pollution, the divisiveness of big business and the welfare of all people could be remedied by following the messages suggested in this massive text. Another crazy thing that happened when I was reading this book and following the spiral is that I experienced profound, wonderful sleep.
